Color Temperature

When selecting LED track spotlights for your space, color temperature and CRI are important factors to consider. The higher the CRI, the closer it is to the true colors of objects. CRI is especially important for commercial spaces, where high accuracy is required.

Using the right color temperature can improve the visual experience and aesthetic of your space. For example, if you are lighting a living room with wall art and decor, bookshelves or display cabinets, walls, or accent walls, choosing a light that is a warm white will highlight these items and create a comfortable atmosphere. Alternatively, you can choose a light that is a neutral white to maintain a simple and clean appearance.

For foodservice spaces, you can choose different color temperatures based on the type of restaurant and its theme. For example, a family-style restaurant can use warm or neutral white light (2700K-3000K) to create a romantic and comfortable environment. In contrast, a fast-food restaurant can use neutral or daytime white light (4000K) to maintain a bright and clear environment that is easy for customers to navigate.

Dimming

A follow spot light is a powerful stage lighting instrument that emits a focused hard-edged beam to highlight your subject. These lights come with manual or motorized zooms that help to control the size of the beam. They also feature mechanical iris and framing shutters for adjusting the beam shape. Conventional spotlights produce colored light through subtractive color mixing, using filters to allow only certain wavelengths of visible light to pass through and throw away the radiant energy of other wavelengths. LEDs, on the other hand, can be spectrally engineered to emit a specific color by dynamically controlling their component parts at the chip or package level. This allows for a wider color gamut with less energy loss than traditional methods.
